Isett Acres Museum Foundation is located in Huntingdon Pennsylvania. The unique establishment is a vast collection of Huntingdon County memorabilia acquired by Beulah and J Melvin Isett. The museum showcases 70 years of determination to preserve Huntingdon history. The Isetts were entrepreneurs in the 1960's who started Huntingdon TV Cable, dedicating the next 40 years to producing a successful countywide TV cable business. Through these years the couple purchased a small local farm where they stored all the local memorabilia they acquired. After retiring in 2000, the couple (at the age of 79) started their real dream of displaying their memorabilia in a museum. A small portion of the collection was opened to the public in the Barn of the Farm in 2001. This was just the beginning, the next 21 years Melvin committed his entire life to showcase and educate the community with his collection the history of Huntingdon in memory of his wife.
Today the museum is four large buildings that provide informational and educational tours by dedicated tour guides. The guided tours by the docents will hold the interest of any age group. The displays show the advancement and changes of antiques over the last hundred plus years making a walk down memory lane for some and an educational experience for others.
